We are offering weekly beginner Classic Ski Lessons for members of our community!

These lessons will be 1 hour at Birch Hill starting promptly at 6 pm. Accepting ages 12 and up. Please know that we do not provide skis and you will need to have your own or rent (rentals available at Outdoor Rec, REI, Trax, Goldstream Sports, Beaver Sports). We will meet outside the warming hut where the ski racks are, right in front of the stadium.

Beginner lessons will include information regarding basic body mechanics, weight transfer, how to use poles, snowplowing, and learning how to get up when you fall.

The lessons max out at 10 people, with a minimum of 5 signed up. If Rove Co has to cancel due to not having enough people signed up, you will be refunded your money or you can opt to join a different class. We will have a temperature cut off of -5 degrees F as dictated by the NSCFairbanks weather page and you will be given a makeup date for the lesson. Refunds are not given for no shows or cancellations made by participant within 7 days of lesson.

Please note, there is another beginner lesson each Monday evening for the Month of January, always at 6pm.

We are offering weekly Intermediate XC Classic Ski Lessons for members of our community!

These lessons will be 1 hour at Birch Hill starting promptly at 2 pm. Accepting ages 12 and up. Please know that we do not provide skis and you will need to have your own or rent (rentals available at Outdoor Rec, REI, Trax, Goldstream Sports, Beaver Sports). We will meet outside the warming hut where the ski racks are, right in front of the stadium.

Intermediate lessons are appropriate for anyone who has a good grasp on the basics of classic skiing, but might need help with or questions about improving technique and speed and navigating curves and hills better, or any other more advanced questions you may have!

The lessons max out at 10 people, with a minimum of 5 signed up.
