Rove Community is here to break down all those barriers, making sure everyone feels included and has fun!

Our story

Founder, Jillian, is an EOD military spouse living in Fairbanks who encountered all the above barriers for learning how to safely explore the outdoors (especially with her husband overseas their first 2 winters). Through perseverance in finding an outdoor community of her own, Jillian realized not enough people living in Alaska had a community to adventure with or knew where to start. Navigating Alaska’s wilderness can be daunting, dangerous and intimidating to a point where people avoid the outdoors. Rove Co represents a more accessible community and a foundation in education for adventuring. We want all ages and skill levels to feel they have opportunities to be successful outdoors, participating in more outdoor rec activities.

When not exploring with her family, Jillian can be found working as a photographer and pediatric OT.
