This week’s meetup will take place at the Birch Hill Recreation Area.
Park in the Far Parking Lot (past the Upper Parking Lot and below the Timing Building). Arrive by 5:50pm and we’ll hit the “links” at 6pm.
Course Type: 18-holes; hilly, with mostly narrow corridors and Par 3 holes
Dog Friendly: Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash
Disc golf discs can be purchased at Beaver Sports, Play It Again Sports and possibly Walmart. Note: Disc golf “discs” are different from frisbees – they are slightly smaller and heavier. There are three basic types of discs: drivers (for long-range shots), mid-range discs, and putters. You’ll be fine with just a driver, but feel free to bring all three!
We’ll plan to play the first 9 holes and then see how we’re doing on time. Mosquitos likely, so come prepared! We’ll have bug spray and a few extra discs on hand, just in case.
