Come celebrate Winter Solstice with us and be ready to bike/ski/or walk! The forecast is -35 degrees F so come layered appropriately! Email us with any layering questions. We start the trails at 6 pm. We will meet in the visitors center where Rove Co will be setting up the social hour. Bring a snack to share for the celebration if you’d like! We have a lot of fun hanging out after the ride and everyone is welcome to join in! You are also welcome to join for just the social portion and not go on the trails! This is a dog friendly location. Remember that ALL skill levels (including children) are welcome and we have first time bikers at every event. Bring a head lamp.
The point of these meetups are to get outside, enjoy Alaska Winters, and build your outdoor community! You can rent fatbikes from outdoor rec (thursday-sunday) if you’re military. Goldstream Sports and Beaver Sports also provide bike rentals. Bikes that are adult smalls will generally be appropriate for anyone at least 5 feet tall. Dogs welcome at locations that are dog friendly. These meetups will be happening biweekly through the winter!

Each meetup is free and we are fortunate to have so many trails for our recreational use. With that in mind, Rove Co will be raising funds during each meetup as a way for our community to support the volunteers in maintaining these trails.

The proceeds from this winters meetups will go to Alaska Skijoring and Pulk Association, Nordic Ski Club Fairbanks and Nordic Ski Association of Anchorage.
